A shocked mother was furious after a talking toy she bought her nine-year-old daughter taught her to say: 'f*** you.'

Louise Wilkinson, 42, bought two of the £15 popular Furby toys as a treat for her daughter Monet and her grandchildren Tia, four, and Shannon, three.

But she was stunned when one of the little bundles of fluff blurted out the words: 'f*** you' after pressing the button on its back at her home on Monday.

The interactive toys are designed to pick up words that are spoken to them, but Ms Wilkinson insists she hadn’t sworn at them as they were newly out of the packet.

Hotel housekeeper Ms Wilkinson said she wanted to warn other parents about the foul-mouthed Furby, which she bought from Argos, in Oswestry, Shropshire.

The use of Photoshop to enhance the appearance of models and celebrities is often criticized for promoting unrealistic standards of beauty, but one woman's incredible experiment uses the image-editing tool to examine how those standards vary around the world.

Esther Honig, a 24-year-old journalist based in Kansas City, Missouri, sent an image of herself to 40 people in 25 countries with the request 'Make me look beautiful.'

The resulting images were altered by professional photo re-touchers in Sri Lanka, Morocco, the Philippines and elsewhere, illustrating the drastically different aesthetic preferences of various cultures. Miss Honig shared the series, titled Before & After, on her website.

A Chinese tourist was in for something of a surprise after he came across this bizarre looking 'monster' while out camping near Beijing.

The man was camping with friends in a valley in Huairou, Beijing, when he spotted the human-like 'beast'. The images sparked speculation as to the origin of the creature after they were posted online. But a science fiction actor seems to have settled the argument after claiming he was pictured by somebody while filming in the mountains

The tourist who took the pictures said: 'I walked far away to have a pee, and suddenly saw a monster. I took a few pictures of it, but I am now terrified by my courage then.' Any debate however as to what the creature was appears to have been settled after an online commenter described being spotted while filming with friends.

The actor wrote: 'Over the weekend I and my friends went to the mountains to take a mini sci-fi film. And when I was having a pee a person popped up and took pictures of me and shot away.' There has been no shortage of reports of sightings of mysterious looking creatures in the last few months.

In April a Canadian hiker released a video of what he believed could have been Sasquatch in the mountains near Squamish, British Columbia. The video was shot by Myles Lamont two years ago while he was hiking in the Tantalus Range, north of Vancouver.

The footage, which shows a small black dot of a figure reportedly moving up a mountain, has now had more than a million views since it was posted on to YouTube. Mr Lamont says he was able to view the subject far better than what the video portrays as it was just a simple point and shoot camera. 'The contrast was excellent due to the snow behind the subject,' he said.

Mr Lamont said he only uploaded the video for the benefit of a couple of friends. 'We had no intention for it to gather the interest it has. We are not claiming this to be anything other than a strange encounter.'

In Fujian province, you need balls of steel for this massage. Or maybe balls of fire? As noted by reporter Chris Buckley, Photo Sina has a series of picture of a type of fire therapy called "huo liao" (火疗). And it looks utterly terrifying.

According to Sina and The Nanfang, here's how it works: A rope made from various herbs is placed on the patient's body and covered with plastic wrap. Then, two wet towels are placed over the wrap and the herbal coil. Alcohol is poured on the towels and then set ablaze.

The clinics offering this therapy should be staffed with trained professionals (obviously!), as fire safety and closely monitoring the patient is of the utmost importance. Also, they should have a bucket of water on standby should things go awry.

The heat apparently creates a warm feeling for the patients and can supposedly help relieve stress and, according to one clinic, everything from depression and diarrhea to indigestion and infertility.

Apparently originating from Tibet, this is now a form of Chinese medicine. It's like moxibustion, which has been practiced throughout Asia for centuries, but more terrifying looking.

Every time I think I finally have started getting good at pool, I check out one of the videos of Florian “Venom” Kohler.

His trickshots are insane and this video just goes to prove it. Not only does he work his magic around the pool table and the balls, he also works the que ball around an actual person! He laid down a great looking girl on the table and shot through her arms and around her body with no problems at all.

This might not be an “action sport” but it is definitely something that caught our attention and had to be shared. Florian Kohler is known for these trickshot videos so make sure to browse around for some more if you find yourself absolutely taken in by this video.

After we saw the first and second part of unbelievable Trick Shots from Florian 'Venom' Kohle, here come the third part which in my opinion is the most spectacular, not only because of trick shots but also due to the beautiful blonde assistence. I think this is one of the best trickshot artist I've ever seen. I love watching Florian, he is a real pool shark. If you want to learn a few tricks at pool this is the guy with which to start.
