Awesome sausage for cutting vinyl records

The sausage-like sculpture resembles a giant salami, tied at the end and encased in a red-hued shell. instead of finding sliced meat on one end, rinman has instead used vinyl disks — 4 which have been already ‘sliced’ off, and one which is being stripped away from the main form with a knife.
‘Cutting records’ takes a playful twist on the expression, which comes from the process of engraving grooves on the record’s surface and also is used by DJs when referring to the mixing and scratching of sounds.
