World's Most Expensive Skateboard Coated in Pure Gold

Fully functional collector's item is made of gold; comes with archival gloves. From the world of collectables, we present one of the most extravagant—if not oddest—items you might ever see, and it comes from the action sports arena.

Introducing the $15,000 skateboard. And, yes, it is made of gold. The 99.999 percent electro-plated gold skateboard is fully functional, but it is doubtful anybody would actually ride the thing, let alone touch it with their bare hands.

The lofty price tag, which is slightly more than the price of a 2013 Ford Fiesta, comes with a pair of 100 percent cotton archival gloves so as not to smudge the mirrored finish.

When you are in the same room as the board, you can’t miss its glowing effect, Willet designed The Golden Skateboard for the New York-based skateboard shop SHUT. It is the world’s most expensive skateboard.

“The board took a lot of trial and error but in the end came out amazing and everyone learned a lot,” Willet said. “The process is top secret, but we now know what we are capable of.
“I’ve been skateboarding my whole life so making this was kind of a no-brainer.”Sure, a no-brainer. Makes total sense. Everybody will want one.  The collector’s item is 31.5 inches long, 8 inches wide, and, at 9 pounds, weighs 80 percent more than the typical skateboard.
According to SHUT, “The board is the holy grail of skate that is worthy of its own Fort Knox.” So, Tony Hawk, are you interested? Us? We’ll stick to coins, stamps, and baseball cards.

The fleshy intestine tents

Hasler  has used an intestine modelling technique in the creation of two tents and three new humanoid figures. exploded or exposed wax lines the outside of the pair od tents, creatively exploring the consequences of a nuclear explosion, while retaining the notion of container, nurturing the concerns of the peace camps.
Andrea Hasler used wax and Styrofoam to create these gory, bloody tents. The primary inspiration for these pieces are the protests she witnessed against nuclear proliferation in the 80's where tent cities were set up and piece camps were established to house the protesters,

where a staged demonstration of 30,000 women joined hands around the perimeter of the base, in objection of nuclear weapons being held there.

‘embrace the base’, the exhibition of which takes its namesake from the historic event, builds upon this context through the sculptures’ medium and methodology. ‘metaphorically,

I am taking the notion of the tents which were on site during the women’s peace camp, as the container for emotions and ‘humanize’ these elements to create emotional surfaces.’ hasler explains.

Buildings On Mars! (Rover NASA Photo, April 9, 2014) [video]

This discovery was made by Streetcap1 of Youtube. He found some structures on a hill in one of the Mars Curiosity rover photos. Look at the above photo and pay special attention to the white shiny walls on top of the hill.

The walls are white on one side due to reflection and dark shadowy on the other side due to the suns angle. Is NASA trying to move the rover away from these obstacles to prevent the public from learning about life on Mars?

Amazing UFOs Caught On Deer Cam In Jackson, Mississippi (April 4, 2014) [video]

"Well, if it's alien, I'm not sure about that. But it's definitely a UFO. Now whether it's a government drone or what, I wish if nothing else, one of them would step up and say, 'Yes, that's ours,'"
JACKSON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) -
They were caught on camera the night of February 16. Mysterious lights that appeared in the sky over the 150 acres that Rainer and Edith Shattles call home in the Cumbest Bluff area of Jackson County. Were they a phenomenon that's simple to explain, or something else? The Shattles never tire of looking at the strange images caught by their trail cameras on that clear winter night.

"We have unusual things happen around here that happen, but it's usually associated with our grandchildren. But this case, we didn't know what it was," Edith recalled. "I was looking for a nice buck to be showing up on the trail camera actually." The timeline of the pictures is clear. At 7:24pm, deer appear and all is normal. At 7:29, a dim light appears. At 7:35, it gets brighter. Then at 7:53, a weird shape appears on the camera. The deer are lit up brightly, but how? The cameras are infrared and don't emit light. At 7:56, another sharper light appears, then it gets much closer, seemingly focused on the deer. It looks like headlights, but well off the ground and there is no road. It then flies away. Rainer takes me to the site deep in the woods. I see the trees where the object appeared. Rainer tells me what he's thinking.

Mysterous light beams from Mars Surface (April 6, 2014)

An artificial light source was seen this week in this NASA photo which shows light shining upward from...the ground. This could indicate there there is intelligent life below the ground and uses light as we do. This is not a glare from the sun, nor is it an artifact of the photo process. Look closely at the bottom of the light.

It has a very flat surface giving us 100% indiction it is from the surface. Sure NASA could go and investigate it, but hey, they are not on Mars to discovery life, but there to stall its discovery.
