A firefighter in Russia hovers metres off the ground on a home-made jet-pack. |
An unnamed firefighter from the Siberian city of Tomsk was filmed while apparently off duty hovering in the air on a jet-pack resembling a strange magic carpet.
Firefighters rigged up six high-pressure hoses to a small trampoline platform and turned them on, with the water pushing against the ground sending the 'carpet' and the fireman straight up in the air.
It looked more like something from a low-budget sci-fi film, but the stunt impressively lifted the firefighter to the height of the first floor of the building visible in shot. Incredibly, the intrepid fireman was able to dismount his unlikely vehicle without any danger.
